Directed a large Healthcare Recruiting Department through a turnaround situation. Challenged by former VP of HR at Alpharma to transform a reactionary, complaint-ridden, defeated team of 20 into an improved, fast paced, proactive recruiting team capable of filling 1500 requisitions yearly. Wrote a 100+ page best practices guide. Conducted two internal audits. Implemented and rolled out Vurv’s applicant tracking system. Developed internal Visa process with inside and outside counsel. Managed a budget.

Managed a nationwide pharmaceutical field sales expansion project doubling the size of a division. Hired by Alpharma Pharmaceuticals to manage an expansion project.  Selected and managed the outsourced vendor relationship.  Managed a recruiting administration team who on-boarded the candidates. Implemented “Talent Centers” around the country in hotels. Oversaw all phases of the recruitment process.

Acted as Interim Human Resources Director twice while also managing recruiting function. Hired by Alpharma Pharmaceuticals to cover for Director’s maternity leave and hired by Kaplan to cover for Chicago-based vacancy. Implemented and rolled out online harassment training program; performed a harassment investigation. Reviewed and redesigned offer letters, EEO logs, internal postings, new hire packs, and background check forms. Handled employee relations, terminations, and performance appraisals.

Managed a team that hired 900 teachers in 4 months. Oversaw the K-12 Learning Services team responsible for a recruitment project for the “No Child Left Behind” contract awarded to Kaplan. Developed, implemented, and managed weekly open houses to attract candidates. Strategized with team to overcome recruitment challenges such as minimal hourly wages and part time/short term commitment.

Managed an expansion project to hire 50 Customer Service Representatives in New York City. Selected to oversee this project to nationally centralize a call center department. Implemented discrete “open houses” while call center was being built, as several jobs would be eliminated. Developed and managed the entire recruitment process.

Mentored a team in Boca Raton that hired 75 Inside Sales Representatives per month. Strategized about recruitment process and various outreach initiatives. Developed branded advertising. Received the division’s “Best Friend” award.

Hired 525 technical employees effectively doubling company’s size. Personally managed the technical & corporate recruiting for Cheyenne Software and doubled the company size in under 2 years.
